“A beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location.”
24 Mar 2025
This cottage looks even better in real life than in the photos. It is hugely spacious and beautifully decorated. The sofas are enormous, there is a breakfast bar to eat at and also an enormous dining room table. The beds are also large and super comfy. We arrived in the dark so imagine our surprise when we looked out of the window the first morning to see 2 beautiful horses looking out of the stables in the courtyard where our car was parked! In the day time they are moved onto the field behind your cottage, which you can wander up to. The cottage is one or two minutes walk from a pretty ford, but you won't have to drive through this, and if you are walking down the country lanes you can cross the little wooden bridge over the ford. The owner has lots of flower pots and we just missed the tulips opening which must look a picture, but there was a gorgeous bright pink camelia backing on to the stream, agapanthus coming up and more. You can have a lovely walk along the lanes and through the fields into the lovely village of Dorrington where I think there is a pub and bakery (the owner had left us a delicious cake and I think she said it was from Dorrington), passing farmyard animals and the occasional lovely English country cottage garden. Details of the round walk to Dorringon are in the folders in the cottage, but you must also have a walk in the lovely long mynd hills of course, and there are various other things to do in the area such as a steam train etc! To our super friendly and helpful owners - thank you!!!!!

“A wonderful place to stay in glorious surroundings, pretty wet had such a short time there”

Everything the owner was very helpful to our requests prior to our arrival and we were given very comprehensive literature of the surrounding area and things to do. Lovely touches with a cake and soft drinks to welcome us. We would highly recommend this property, and it was lovely to meet Tracy after all the help she had given us

“Amazing stay, beautiful property”

Property was beautiful and really clean. Fully stocked and didn’t want for anything. Loved the cakes that were left for us.
