Our group loved our stay here! The hosts were incredibly kind, were extremely accomodating (even to the point of driving us to an onsen after dinner and to the station when we left!), and cooked delicious meals. The house is along the river, and with the new deck that has been built at the back, it was so lovely to sit outside and enjoy the quietness. Would love to come and stay here again!!

The house was full of quirky artefacts. Aside from the functional essentials such as a good size fridge, air con etc, there were a number of various and different pieces or art and nick knacks. It was extremely quiet, clean and peaceful, and after six days in the mountains we appreciated this laid back paradise.

Very authentic stay, wonderful host who went above and beyond to help us ( drove us to the seven 11 to get supplies and Very kindly drove us to the station on the day we left, and with a bento box to eat on the train)

Host was superb. She spoke little English but was better prepared than us with translations. The food prepared for us (2 night stay) was without fault. Our host catered well for us - considered, fresh and well presented with attention to detail. Accommodation was spacious for sleeping. Wouldn't have used the kitchen for various reasons. Accommodation was obviously a restaurant previously but could definitely do with some updating. A lot more 'homely' than the photos show. That said we did enjoy our stay and our host was wonderful.
