We wanted to stay somewhere quiet and relaxing for a few days break from Tokyo, and Hoshi Meguri exceeded expectations. The hosts were so lovely - with notice they accommodated my husband’s diet for delicious vegetarian breakfasts, provided us with bikes for free, and dropped us at the train station. The bikes were so useful for exploring the surrounding village, and ducking into Shimoda for meals and easier beach connections. It was lovely to stay at a place where everything was so thoughtful. The room was clean and relaxing, and the futons extremely comfortable. The 3 onsen were fabulous (better than the photos!), and I imagine even better to enjoy when the weather isn’t so hot. We had such a rejuvenating stay and have already recommended Hoshi Meguri to friends. Thank you!

Exceptional hosts, who went above and beyond. The food was some of the best we had in Japan. The private onsens were fantastic.
