The Devonshire Arms is a busy pub with nice rooms upstairs. We stayed in a room called Brockman, it was pleasant but really small, the smallest room in the house.( We saw a couple of the other rooms on our way out which were a lot bigger, to be fair Brockman should be cheaper) A lot of pipe work goes through this room, leading to a constant humming. The bed was comfortable, the shower very good. We had dinner and breakfast there, both very good. The staff was really nice and friendly, they did their very best to make your stay a nice one. Parking was on site, useful when you travel.

Really friendly staff who seemed generally concerned about their guests. Room comfortable, with excellent facilities, even a fridge. menu had plenty of options.

Not 5-star as tinned tomatoes are not what I expect for full english, but perfectly adequate. Excellent location, room good, bed comfortable and staff all excellent. Good parking facilities, thank you all very much

Location is perfect, very clean, staff were friendly and the food was outstanding. The rooms were gorgeous not a bad word to say about our stay .
