Clean spacious room , quiet location near one of the Old Town entrances, friendly welcoming and helpful owner + good eggy breakfast served on a tray with decent coffee. Wood burning stove in Reception for those chilly evenings at 10,000ft. The monastery ticket office is 10- 15 minutes away by the no.3 local bus. Zhongdian/Shangri-la is full of interest, and if/when we return, we know now where to stay!

The hotel is well located to visit the city centre of Shangri La on foot. Rooms were spacious and had heated floors which made them consistently warm even in January (except in the bathroom! But the shower had hot water). Nice modern facilities, and the hostess helped us arrange our trips around Shangri La.

The staff was very helpful. They helped us take the luggage upstairs and even helped to arrange a 7-seater taxi to the railway station, as there are 4 of us with big luggage. The hospitality is beyond what we expected and somehow makes this trip even more memorable. The room is fantastic, complete with a heater, oxygen tank, and even an extra blanket to keep us warm. The property is inside the ancient town, everything is walkable, restaurants, pharmacy, coffee shops. Also, the pickup point to the Balagezong is just walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you so much
