The location, the view from the living room, how close the shopping centre was to buy ingredients/food. The beds were really comfortable. The host went above and beyond. We loved our stay in this apartment.

The friendly spirit of the staff, room on 8 th floor 407 smelt of cigarette smoke, would be better if previous people not smoke in such a beautiful room

Before the trip, I researched numerous homestays and hotels on booking, comparing for over a month. With elders and kids, I wanted everything settled. Shanghai hotels are pricey, so I opted for a homestay. It's in a great neighborhood, with green spaces and amenities. The landlord is kind. The room has essentials like tissues, slippers, disinfectant, and a kitchenette. Large windows offer a view of the Oriental Pearl Tower. It's close to Yuyuan Garden and the Shanghai Old Street, accessible by subway to avoid traffic.
