Absolutely amazing location in the heart of the French Concession area of Shanghai. Nice hotel with a number of shops and lovely restaurants around. Clean. Excellent bathroom. Very good breakfast (in the 5* hotel, 1 min away). Great swimming pool, with sauna - all very clean.

In the most perfect location, you really can’t get any better! The facilities were nice as well, and the staff were super friendly & helpful!

Location was sensational right on Donghu road in the middle of french concession and near loads of shopping like middle Huaihai road. Close to several metro lines. Rooms were small but had everything. Were cleaned daily to a high standard. Had a small fridge, and a coffee machine and kettle. Hotel itself was lovely, bright and modern. I especially loved the delivery robot who would bring food you'd ordered from Meituan to your room! Staff were lovely and polite but their level of English was a barrier to communication on some occasions. Pool is nice and on site, shallow end is 1-1.4m with around 2/3 of the way going to 3m quite quickly. Pool was split into 4 lanes - play, training , fast and slow. You needed a shower cap to swim available for 50 from the front desk (approx £5.50). I found it quite busy - it seemed like people outside of the hotel were using it for training. I don't think that makes a good hotel pool, it was not relaxing at all and really just there for serious swimming. There was a sauna which was nice for after. Breakfast is just across the road in their original hotel site and was well worth it. Tons of delicious noodles, meat, veg and dumplings available. Also a fresh noodle and egg station made to order. There were plenty of western options too but I didn't try those when the local food was so good.
