Breakfast was hearty, and the English Breakfast well cooked. Dinner likewise.The hospitality and welcome of the staff were genuinely friendly

What a great find. We loved the friendly reception from the land- lord, Jonathan who from the onset made us feel welcome. The property was very clean and with great attention to detail.. plenty of coffee, tea and biscuits, which was well appreciated after a long day. The evening meal was delicious and a great selection of beers and wines .. highly recommend.

Wonderful old thatched inn in Thomas Hardy country close to sutrans routes and Cranborne Chase. Excelent for walks and cycling. Great friendly proprietors and staff. Good bar and menue options. Cool shady places to hide from the sun in the pub gardens.

The young woman went out of her way to preparare lots of delicious fruit for us at breakfast. The room was very comfortable, on two levels, and quiet. The whole was very good value for the money.
