Our second visit to S’Armidda. Luciana and Marco have created a wonderful place to stay. There are plenty of places to see and things to do round about but this time we just liked to sit on the shady veranda terrace, amongst trees of the cherry orchard, looking out over the countryside. S’Armidda means thyme in the Sardinian language, and the Timo (thyme in Italian) is the name of the friendly little dog who is ever present company sitting at your feet on the veranda. At over 1000 metres high, the air is clear and the only sounds are of birds and cow bells. At 8pm Luciana serves the evening meal to her extended family and all the guests who have arranged for it. Sitting at long tables, she has prepared the feast, in huge quantities, from fresh local ingredients, much of which is produced on the farm. The meal goes on into the evening with family and guests of all nationalities getting to know one another in happy conversation. We hope to keep returning in the future.

Breakfast and dinner were very good. Hosts were very kind and helpful. Location requires some driving on winding roads to reach. However once there the place is extremely welcoming, peaceful and quiet. Light pollution is also not present so one can watch an excellent sky at night if the weather permits. It was a pleasure spending 5 nights at your accommodation. You should be proud of the service and genuine products you are offering. Keep up the good work.
