thick stone walls kept it cool in the heat, but would also be warm in winter (nice log burner and central heating) very comprehensively equipped and detailed instructions nice thick towels, loads of books, games and DVDs for when the weather takes a downturn. very comfy bed, comfy sofas, attractive village with easy access to lots of visitor attractions.
