I booked this lodge at the last minute based on a recommendation from my morning tour guide. While it was slightly above my budget, it seemed like the best choice near Sossusvlei, where I was headed the next day—and it absolutely delivered. I arrived close to sunset, and the location was perfect: secluded, peaceful, and surrounded by the desert’s natural charm. It was exactly what I wanted to welcome the new year. The room was stunning, thoughtfully designed to blend organically with the desert environment. Each room was a private cottage, offering ample privacy and a small terrace with breathtaking views of the Namib desert and a star-filled sky. The reception staff escorted me to my room, walking me through the amenities and even explaining how to operate the AC—a small touch that made a big difference. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and well-equipped with high-quality amenities. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional, with the chef personally explaining several dishes, which added a thoughtful and personal touch. The wine selection was impressive as well.

First stop on our drive around Namibia, and this has set the bar high. Not many guests staying as low season, but that suited us perfectly. All the staff were lovely, a particular mention to Ferdinand, who was the main point of contact for anything we had questions about and he was not alone in the willingness of the staff to make our stay memorable, 5* service from all. I also had one of the best massages ever, given by Dena, in the Outpost Lodge (part of the same group) a short drive away. The views are amazing and with a small waterhole close to the Lodge it was a pleasure to see frequent visits by Oryx & Wildebeest. Can highly recommend staying here.

Great location in near the namib desert. Beautiful scenery including wild life thank a drink at the hotels waterhole to be enjoyed from your rooms terrace or from the refreshing swimming pool. Very comfortable beds and spacious rooms.
