A great place to stay for a few days with a lovely garden and friendly staff. The rooms were very clean.

It is a good resort to spend a couple of days at the pool or doing nothing, surrounded by vineyards and really good looking overall. Our room was clean and newly renovated (or newly buit in an annexe of the actual castle - stables or a large grange). The furniture was old and classy, the room was large, but the general architecture reminded more that of a standard "for rent room plus attic" than that of a castle. About five stone "stairs" to reach the room, not so easy to climb with luggage. There are stairs in the back of the building, but they are accesible only from inside the room and we were left to discover them by ourselves. Kitchen is really small, but has all one would need to cook something quick. Little storage room (there was a large closet but no place to put the suitcases). Pillows were appreciated as "awful" by most in our group. Parking was good (car is an absolute must due to the location). A lot of communication before arriving, with repeated warnings about the "fine print" (they are not a hotel, they do not do this or that). Mostly a beautiful "do it yourself" place. Breakfast (10 E/person) was basic (as we were repeatedly warned). However, providing a capsule for the espresso machine instead of the promissed coffee reminded me of low cost airways (as did the offer for more coffee capsules from the reception). Since we were four, we got two croissants and two petit pains au chocolat (what if we all wanted croissants?) The pool was OK, but it is not available after 21h, so there is not much one can do around, since the garden is only open for guests until 5pm (for the rest, it is "prive" for the owner only...). Beautiful gardens, though, to enjoy between 2 and 5 pm or in the morning.

The castle is situated in a beautiful location. The room was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including facilities for grilling and cleaning. The pool and spa areas are fantastic, and there are multiple relaxing spots scattered around near the rooms.

Good location. Comfortable room, large and good facilities. Nice deck to sit and enjoy the view.
