I had a wonderful stay at the guesthouse. The hosts made me feel very welcome and cared for, which I appreciated as I was travelling solo. The room and guesthouse environment were beautiful and very pleasant to live in during the stay. The neighbourhood was peaceful and many things to see and visit in proximity. The hosts were kind to recommend many options for sightseeing. The breakfast was homemade and delicious!

I decided that staying in a hanok with local hosts during my first days in South Korea would be the perfect introduction to the country, so I chose Seochon Guesthouse. I couldn’t have had a better experience. The guesthouse itself is charming and peaceful, tucked away in a quiet part of the city, yet still close to major attractions like Gyeongbokgung Palace. But what I enjoyed most were the hosts. From the moment I arrived, they went out of their way to help me — even taking me to a nearby restaurant serving local food on the evening I arrived, and later helping me get to the palace. They were incredibly friendly, always ready to assist with anything, and genuinely fun to chat with. If you’re looking for an authentic Korean stay with truly wonderful hosts, this is it.

Our hosts Lee and Shin made us feel part of their family - from traditional Korean breakfasts to valuable information of places to visit and eat along with historical perspectives of the country. We greatly enjoyed the Korean immersive experience even though we did enjoy the western style bed ( available in 1 of the 3 rooms )

This cosy guesthouse was a beautiful way to experience Seoul. The warmth of Lee and Shin was unbeatable - we are so grateful for their kindness, hospitality and amazing cooking! It was a pleasure to spend our 48 hours in Seoul at your home. The location is in walking distance to amazing sites making it exploring easy.
