Claudia “Lovely time, felt like visiting distant family”

I can’t recommend Eugen Hanok Stay enough! I had the loveliest time there. The owners are an elderly couple and they (especially the lady) treated me like I was their family member - chatted with me every day, asked me about myself, took photos of me, made sure I was warm enough in my room, introduced me to other guests, brought me lotus flower tea every morning. I felt very welcomed and they made my stay in Korea so much more comfortable. The owners both speak English. The house is quite old fashioned but I think that it’s charm. It’s by no means luxury but you’ll feel comfortable and taken care of, and you’ll get to experience Korean culture.
Sahas “Get transported to the Joseon period and live comfortably”
21 Apr 2025
I am a student from Texas traveling all across Asia. In this review, I will explain why the Eugene Hanok (Yujin House) is a MUST-stay place in Seoul. Firstly, the moment you step into this Hanok, you feel as if you are transported into the Joseon period centuries ago. The Hanok is very pleasing to the eye, yet so calming to the soul. The place is very well-maintained, organized, clean, warm, and most importantly, comfortable. Secondly, I have not interacted with a more welcoming and caring host family in Asia. They made me feel like this was my second home in Korea and treated me as if I were their son. They are the the sweetest people in Seoul and even serve you a fresh and light breakfast in the morning. There's a lot of history in this Hanok. A great Korean philosopher, Kim Tae Gil, lived in this Hanok, and you get to appreciate his work, as the lady of the Hanok used to be his apprentice. The lady of the Hanok is also very well-accomplished. She herself is an author and knows English, Chinese, and Japanese, so you will have no problem communicating with her.I was so impressed by the place that I extended my stay for 2 additional nights. 10/10 and highly recommend in Seoul.
Alice “Best stay in Seoul”

The owners are so kind, I loved staying here for my last night in Seoul. The place is so beautiful and peaceful. I liked also the surrounding area of Hyehwa, lots of small cafes and at short distance from one of the best panorama spots in the city.
