Alojomento Andorinhas is in Senora da Hora (Porto) and very convenient to see Porto using the Metro and public transport. We were able to park easily and safely in a quiet suburb and not worry with traffic and parking while exploring Porto. We were met by Carla who guided us to park right outside our accommodation’s door – really convenient. Carla had allowed us to arrive early, park, drop our bags so we could maximise our time in Porto (sadly, we only had 2 x nights available). Carla asked what we would like to see or do in Porto, then helped us with some suggestions and 2 x travel cards. It is a very short walk to the closest Metro (tram) station and Carla explained about adding a few trips onto the cards, validating for 1 x hour of travel and we were on our way. We loaded some trips onto the cards at the local station and within a few minutes, we were on a tram heading to Porto central. After exploring Porto for an afternoon, we returned to the accommodation. Also, extremely convenient was a Lidl supermarket between the metro and the accommodation where we topped up with a few provisions. There is also a laundry and a few spots to eat in the area. We tried Taberna 57 and recommend you consider this as an option if you’re lucky enough to stay here. We messaged Carla to ask about a bottle opener and a couple of spoons. Carla couldn’t have been more helpful (or quick!). Within a few seconds, Carla arrived with opener and spoons, asked about our afternoon trip and set us up for the following day. Porto can be a very tiring and challenging city especially if, like us, you have limited time but want to see as much as possible. We also did most of our exploring on foot (we get to see more detail by walking but be aware – Porto is a city of hills!) If we ever get to Porto again, we will try and book with Carla again and hope Taberna 57 is still alive and well.

I have a soft back so the mattress was too hard for me but some people like it like that. It's right under an airline route so if you don't like noise you can take earplugs and you won't hear a thing. The host take a very good care of people and the place, it felt good. Thanks a lot

We were there because we had an early flight so appreciated the coffee, mini fridge and coffee maker in the room and the ease of check-out. Quite convenient to the airport (about 20 minute walk to metro station and then only a few stops). Room was very clean and the person meeting us at check-in very nice.
