The host is a really nice man who provides a detailed, guided tour and helps in every possible way. No English, but he is a wizzard on the translator. The onsen is great and addictive. You have access to full kitchen facilities and the Gran Mart supermarket 15 minutes away in town has plenty of options. The room was large with good heating. Pay attention to the instructions re ventilation. Laundry facilities are free and you have a clothes line in your room to dry clothes. It's close to Tazawako ski resort. One carpark is 1km and the base lodge 2.5km. Free internet. You feel quite remote from the world, with views of Lake Tazawa, weather allowing.
