The staff were super kind and helpful. The surroundings are really peaceful and it's a great location for exploring Serra da Estrela. The breakfast was fantastic. The hotel was really cozy, had a kind of 80s ski lodge vibe that we really enjoyed. We felt very comfortable there. Our room was very large and comfy, the kitchen was well-equipped and we loved that there was a fireplace in the room itself. Comfy mattress. We loved that there was a heated indoor pool as well as the outdoor pool. Lots of cats to make friends with in the grounds!

The one bedroomed, recently renovated apartments are lovely, comfortable, good size, and lovely view of the lake.

The staff were the most amazing people and got out of their way to help me when my car broke down. I have never came across such a welcoming friendly hospitality, people that are genuinely empathic, generous, caring. The place itself is very clean, the experience is very cosy and authentic. I loved it!!

The location was perfect and on route to the places we wanted to go. Away from the chaos of the Christmas lights yet close enough to get there easily. Other than that the rooms were clean and tidy and warm when we arrived as the reception gentleman took care in switching on the AC for when we arrived. Thank you.
