We had a great stay at Ria's rest. Lynn and Tommy were the perfect hosts. Very helpfull and friendly. We used the swimming pool. We went canoeing (with their canoes)on the lake nearby the house. Tommy even walked down to the lake with us to show us the ropes. Lynn even sent us a jar with cookies and sweets for Christmas. 🥰 They told us where to go and watch the most beautiful Christmas lights in Sedgefield and about the Christmas parade. When we arrived there was milk and cold water in the fridge and even little tomatoes, fresh from her garden. Everything you need and more is in the cottage. Will definately stay there again.

I have been to many places in South Africa, but I have never been so satisfied with any place as Ria's Rest. Extremely quiet cottage, very very clean, extremely friendly owner and her family... Oh, and there are two super cute puppies. I booked four nights but ended up having to add an extra night because everything was so perfect. If I didn't have to go back to work, I would have stayed another week. If I go to Knysna or Sedgefield again, I will definitely stay at Ria's Rest again 100% recommended.

We arrived to a beautifuuly clean place with so many things thought of to make it very comfortable and welcoming. If we had any minor issues, such as how to work the microwave, we were helped straight away. The flat is a good size with everything you need and full access to the garden and grounds. 'The island' is very beautiful and feels safe - I walked and cycled around it with my 7 year old and there is a lovely beach on the lagoon just a few minutes cycle away. Tommy and Lynn and family were the most amazing hosts! They made us feel like part of the family and went over and above to help me with my daughter and an online job interview I had during the stay. Sedgefield town is also wonderful, a hidden gem, much quieter than Knysna, a really fantastic market walking distance from the stay on Saturday, amazing lagoon and beaches and beautiful forest and mountains nearby. We absolutely loved our stay at Ria's Rest and just can't recommend it enough!!!
