The place is kept simple but luxurious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located at a wonderful calm site next to a river and has a beautiful park area. As it is a Palace hotel, the infrastructure is magnificent. The breakfast has everything one can think of. The price is absolutely reasonable. Will stay there again.

The property was very deceiving and we thought we’d arrived at the wrong place. The property was clean, very grand and staff were super helpful and very friendly. As the restaurant was closed one member of staff ordered us pizzas another took us to collect them.

The hotel is an authentic, old‑style palace originally built for water treatments, and its historic character is completely untouched rather than “restored.” Nestled on a spacious riverbank estate, the setting is truly spectacular. Despite its summer-season lull—rooms felt surprisingly empty even at peak vacation time—the quiet only enhanced the peaceful atmosphere. One odd aspect was the Indian restaurant, which felt out of place in such a traditional Swiss hotel; I didn’t try the food, however. The staff were warm and attentive, the breakfast was okay but rather standard. The décor and facilities show their age, but still retain a certain charm. Ultimately, it offers good value for money.
