The location was perfect for us and our cockerspaniel Sophie. We enjoyed evening in the garden and saw squirrels playing near the trees. Room was clean. We only stayed for 1 night and has everything what we need it.

Wow, what a fantastic hotel where do I start! The building is beautiful and in a perfect location to explore. What really makes it the best place in the whole of North Yorkshire is the amazing staff. From arrival to departure the team were warm and friendly with so much care and consideration for their guests who they really value. The rooms are spacious and immaculately presented (we were in the courtyard because we had our dog but we could have stayed in the main building if she wasn’t with us, the room was perfect and cleaned to such a high standard that we’re glad we brought her). The food was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble thanks to the team behind the bar (superb Guinness poured perfectly) and the fabulous chef who even came out to make sure we had everything we needed. Can’t wait to come back soon to enjoy another stay at the best hotel anyone could wish for.
