Location was absolutely fantastic, away from the town there is a lovely walk along the Pembrokeshire Costal Route - this is flat and wheelchair accessible. My wife's mobility is not good but even she managed to 'wobble' along the path to the Coastal Centre at Coppet Hall, going through the tunnels. Good, but expensive cafe there - maybe take own flask/drink. There was just a short walk to the beach the other way and lots of independent shops. Small Tesco and Spar available too. People in general were very friendly and chatty. Car parking was good as it was out of season and cars can be parked just near the property (if you can get a space). We parked when we arrived and did not use the car again for the week. The cottage was delightful, it was built in around 1900 and we tried to find some history - it was a railway worker's cottage as the rail line used to run the length of The Strand from Stepaway to the harbour, carrying coal. Although there are apartments opposite which obstruct the sea views and the cottage is old and a little damp, the rental cost reflects this - it is around £200 per week cheaper than said apartments. The twin room beds were very comfortable (or at least one was as I did not sleep in both). The kitchen was very well appointed and had everything needed. There was a utility room which had washer and tumble drier, so useful as we did not bring home dirty clothes.

The location is fantastic. Very close to the beach. You can hear the waves from the cottage. It’s a big space. I only travelled with my mum, so there was plenty of room for us. The road the cottage sits on, although busy in the day, is very quiet at night as it is not a through road.
