Fantastic Stay in the Heart of Sarajevo The location was perfect—just a short 5-minute walk downhill to the heart of the old town, where you’ll find incredible local food, charming streets, and breathtaking historic mosques and churches. The locals are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more special. Maida, our host, treated us like family. Every morning, she prepared a fresh, homemade Bosnian breakfast for us—an absolute highlight of our stay! The apartment itself has an old-world charm; a little dated, yes, but more than worth it for the price, comfort, and unbeatable location. It’s fully equipped with kitchen facilities, and Maida went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. She was always available for questions and gave great suggestions on what to see and do. Getting around is easy—public transport is affordable and efficient. You can hop on a tram to Ilidža or explore other parts of the city for just 1.80 BAM. Food in Sarajevo is also a pleasant surprise—delicious and much cheaper than in many other European cities. Be sure to try the Ćevapi, the iconic local dish you’ll see everywhere (and for good reason!). Overall, a wonderful spot for a few days of exploring the historic beauty of Sarajevo. Highly recommend!

The apartment is in a fabulous location, just at the old town centre but it's very quiet. There's a great view up into the mountains from the balcony. We felt comfortable and at home. Our host,Maida, was so considerate and accommodating. The apartment is ideal for a couple looking to explore Sarajevo- I can't recommend enough

The location was spot on, very close to the old town Baščaršija. The apartment view of Sarajevo was amazing. It was clean and very cozy. The best out of everything was the host Maida. She is amazing and very welcoming. We highly recommend this place to stay in when in Sarajevo.

We had an incredible stay at Avlija Garden Gem in Sarajevo. The location is excellent, providing easy access to the city's main attractions and vibrant areas. The apartment itself is very spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and unwind. One of the highlights was the perfect view, which made our stay even more enjoyable. A special thanks to the owner, who went above and beyond by helping us fix a flat tire on our car. This level of hospitality made our experience truly memorable. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Sarajevo.
