Nice location right by the park. The owner is friendly and relaxed. The hostel is small, cosy and welcoming And the communal area is a small cafe with lots of coffee options. There's also a basic free breakfast which was a nice surprise

Guest House Yasube was a highlight of my trip in Hokkaido. I happened to stay there when things were calm (winter midweek) and things were lovely. The host was such a nice person and the stay would not have been the same without him hosting. From a tour to explanation of the hostel upon check in to serving breakfast with enthusiasm, he really is a an amazing host. The location is not far from a nice park and subway station that can get you to the 2 biggest stations in Sapporo pretty fast. The personal highlight for me was getting to try a new coffee each day, though those who know their stuff can just stick to what they like.

Waking up under heavy warm blankets in a cozy wooden dorm and drinking a cup of cafe latte, made from the kindest owner. I would stay longer in Sapporo just to sleep here again.
