Located near a lot of nightlife and easy to get to. Staff were friendly and the bbq on Sunday is a nice touch.

Locker in room. 4 room beds are great. A lot of spaces to chill out Laundry service at hostel possible. Calm but not far from restaurants.

I can't recommend La Chimba enough, mostly because of how kind and generous the staff were. I was moving around South America and they very kindly stored my luggage and were so trustworthy and communicative. There is a lovely feeling when you check in, all the staff and volunteers are at reception hanging out there and it's really welcoming. The beds are so comfortable and the dorms have a unique layout with your own little 'cubby'. The showers and facilities are good and they have lots of events. I stayed elsewhere in Santiago for a few nights and I would definitely suggest La Chimba. It's well situated to the centre but also you're halfway to the Northern areas like Providencia and Barrio Italia so it's a perfect centre point. Thanks so much again to the staff there for their kindness :)
