We loved that Old Mill converted into a house place! The Mill house is located on the hill with amazing views surrounded by nature, the sunsets are stunning! There are several very cozy places around the mill covered by vegetation (which helps a lot to hide from the wind on windy days) where to spend time either eating and drinking, reading, playing or just enjoying the nature. Those are equipped with tables and seats, fireplace, swing, small playgrounds for kids and even a separate small building for grilling, with coal and everything else what is needed provided by the hosts. Inside, the Mill house really has everything you need, starting from morning coffee (coffee machine and pods provided) and making your own breakfast (and any other meal you need to cook), finishing with a great fire heater which hosts either can start for you when you feel the need, or if you want to do it yourself ,they are ready to explain how to use it. Even if you need something which is not there in the house, the hosts are always very helpful with anything you need. We felt really taken care of. There are many animals on the land surrounding the house and if you want hosts can guide you and introduce them to you (our 4 years old daughter was very excited to check on animals). Very unique experience!!!

Everything was amazing, such a nice relaxing place and we fully escaped from daily hassle, bussle and stresses. Most amazing sun rise and set we have ever seen. It was super cool to stay in a windmill and on top of the mountain. Franziska the hoste was very welcoming and helpful, we couldn't have asked for more.

We had an amazing stay at Herdade do Moinho! The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The accommodation, a beautifully converted windmill, offered a unique and romantic experience. The organic outdoor pool was a perfect spot to relax, and the views of the Alentejo coast were breathtaking.

An old windmill will always have bags of character and this did not disappoint - the master bedroom still had much of the wooden machinery that turned the millstones. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a shared washing machine in the bungalow next door. The grounds around the windmill were full of character with seats facing every direction. The natural pool looked great but it was too cold in February to try it out!
