The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel was central to walk to restaurants and also the parking was reasonable

This is like staying in an Edwardian country house. Lots of wood pannelling, high ceilings, a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Relatively few guests so the breakfast was a little limited but certainly adequate. My room (104) was large and well furnished with a large bathroom and large balcony/terrace with table and chairs and view over the splendid garden, which was nice to walk in. Location is quiet and about 25 minutes walk from the bus or railway stations, 15 minutes from Art Gallery, shops etc, a bit futher to indoor market, cathedral etc. Access up steep hill from main shopping street (via Pl de Numancia) to P, o De Altamira is almost wholly by escalators and moving walkways so no problem!

Tricky to find but worth the effort. Breakfast good, easy walk to restaurant for dinner, but little english.Plenty of parking.

Friendly staff, comfy bed, being only 12 minutes to the ferry port.
