The location is great as a base for explorations of Sicily by car as it provides off-street parking as well as easy access to the ring road/motorway, but it also offers easy access to the city centre of Catania by public transport (bus stops at the bottom of the hill with a direct service into the centre every 7 minutes). With its location on the outer slopes of Mount Etna, Villa Leucatia also provides a stunning view over the bay and the whole of Catania which is best enjoyed from its large terrace. While the Villa Leucatia does not have a reception in the traditional sense, it was very easy to get in touch with them and to check in and they were always very friendly and helpful.
