Booking Ibis you will definitely get Ibis. Of course it is not a top notch hotel, but it has been sufficient for our needs. We have been travelling on a round trip through France and Spain by car and Barcelona has been our first stop, heading to Valencia and Estepona/Marbella and then back to Avignon and Germany at last. We have been travelling with our 3 kids and 2 dogs. And Ibis Santa Coloma has been one of the cheapest alternatives to visit Barcelona for our families and the dogs. All the staff at the reception have been very nice and helpfull. For example in one of the rooms the air conditioning was not working, so they let us change rooms instantely. While changing rooms and room keys I lost the ticket for the convenient parking garage, whis ha not been a problem neither. The rooms in the hotel are quite small but sufficient for some nights. Everything was clean! Breakfast is cheap and has been better than previously described by other customers. You should know that the hotel is in one of the suburbs of Barcelona, and it's located in a residential area, but you can easily get downtown by the metro (next metro station is about a 10 min. walk away), and then it takes about 20-25 min. to be downtown (depending on where you want to go). There are some parks and gardens near the hotel and a playground for the kids and another a dog playground just next to the hotel. All in all we had a pleasant stay!

Good and rich breakfast with very long timeframe from 7 to 11 AM. Hotel restaurant works until midnight, and they offer great pizza for a very affordable price. So one can have a good dinner cheaper than somewhere outside in the city. Helpful and friendly staff. Very silent rooms with good air conditioning.
