Gorgeous cottage in a gorgeous location, we received a warm welcome from the host along with an afternoon tea and a bottle of wine for later on. Very well equipped and beautifully decorated, cosy, comfortable cottage.

Backaskaill Farmhouse was the best holiday home we ever stayed. Its interior was impeccably designed, with every detail thoughtfully considered to create a harmonious and inviting atmosphere. One highlight was the private beach, where we could bask in the sun and enjoy the beauty of the coastline and the local wildlife of Sanday. To top it all off, the kind and attentive host made our stay even more delightful by helping us with everything and welcoming us with coffee, cake, fresh flowers and treats for our dog.

The property was beautifully furnished and maintained to the very highest standards. We had everything we could have needed and more. Felt like a luxury hotel stay which made it so relaxing for self catering. Loved every single minute. The facilities and location are the best we have experienced. A truly special stay.
