See all the checked boxes above, all big smiles! The rental car agency in Turin did not issue us a rental car, supposedly because we didn't have an international driver's license (a scam. Booking still charged us. Beware!) We then took a train and ride to the property. The hosts helped us patiently to rent a car without an international driver's license and drove us to Asti to take possession, so we could adventure around the region. You definitely need a rental car! The hosts even brought us some food and welcomed us with glasses of most excellent regional wine. The apartment, the hosts, bed, kitchen, bathroom were luxurious. All wonderful!
