Great breakfast, lovely restaurant and also had dinners there (different owner than hotel). They accepted Visa, hotel only took cash. Luckily I brought enough cash to cover 3 nights and the private driver, as the little town only has one ATM and it was out of service. Bring cash! We loved being able to walk along the short from the hotel to the local dock where we took a boat over to local authentic Maya towns - San Juan Laguna was the best, beautiful authentic costumes, street venders selling vegetables, chicken etc.

Absolutely epic views, incredibly nice staff, and an unbeatable location. The restaurant was so good and the service from the front desk and restaurant was amazing. We had a small double bed room with a washroom that looked like a grotto and an outdoor seating area. The room was not insulated or air conditioned, so we could hear other guests in the morning and it was slightly hot. These little downsides were massively outweighed by the beauty of the place. There is some seriously cool artistic expression in this place, it's just one big art piece. There is a hostel next door with great music in the evening, but it stops early, so you can enjoy the party vibes from the comfort of the hotel, yet still get a good night's sleep. We loved it so much that we already have family members planning their visits imminently.

The hotel is simply beautiful, well designed and modern, and filled with giant plants. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, on the lakeside with amazing views of the volcano. The outside area is landscaped witb various areas for sitting or sunbathing. You can walk to the boat pier along a path on the lakefront. Highly recommended
