Gorgeous little hostel with a lovely terrace that has views of the lake and volcanos. Big shared kitchen to cook meals. Friendly staff and some cute cats and dogs! Great location, only a 5 min walk to the main area of San Marcos La Laguna.

I enjoyed my stay at Casa Madera very much. The location was brilliant, close to the market, restaurants and the boat dock. The staff were lovely and friendly. The hostel is very clean and the staff work hard to keep it that way. The cleaning lady who cleaned the rooms was also super sweet.

I had a good stay. Ana and Israel were very welcoming and made sure I felt comfortable. Many Terraces so there is usually a place to chill if you choose to and usually people around in kitchen or Rooftop-Terrace if you feel social. Kitchen seems well equipped.
