Spacious room, opportunities to make meals. It was very close to the monastery and wasn't in an area of steep slopes. I have knee problems but could get around very well. Lovely arty shops nearby. Pleasant walks. The staff were charming and helpful.

Fabulous location, the apartment is comfortable and well equipped - and the view across to the Monasterio is wonderful. There is a parking space for unloading adjacent to the apartment building (which faces a small garden) and after that, you can park in a public car park (there is a discount provided for one of them I believe).

This is a very nice accommodation for a two star hotel but pricey given the lack of amenities including limited personal check-in. The room was spacious with a sitting area and kitchenette, very nicely renovated and clean. The view of the El Escorial monastery is wonderful.

We had a great 4 day stay at 'San Lorenzo Suites'! The location was fabulous, so close to everything and with views of the amazing and beautiful monastery from the balcony windows and only 50kms from Madrid! The room was huge with kitchen facilities and everything was extremely clean and comfortable! The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful with information on San Lorenzo de El Escorial...things to do and see, restaurant suggestions, etc. While you're there also visit the incredible 'Valley of the Fallen'...if you're not driving, the hotel will organise a taxi to take you there and back, so easy and convenient! It was great to relax in 'San Lorenzo Suites' and this tranquil town for a few days before travelling on.
