The thoughtfulness of the staff as I had a bad cold and they provided some botanicals to help my recovery. Lovely garden, birds appear. Food home cooked and excellent.

It was a great pleasure to stay at the Finca El Maco and it could not have been a more pleasant experience. I especially enjoyed the overall concept of El Maco with all its elements working well together, but also the well thought through attention that has been given in design, construction, and most of all the attitude and quality of service by the staff and team. Thank you!!

The room we had (the ecolodge) was one of the best rooms we ever had - anywhere in the world - after 30 years of travelling. Cute, quirky, beautiful, large (it is three rooms in one, including a large living room), comfortable and super nice. And it has a terrace where you can see the humming birds come to find their flowers - really close. Great staff as well.

This place is a dream. The loacation is stunning (though, yes, quite the walk up the hill), the staff are amazingly lovely, the accomodations rustic in decor but super clean and comfy, and the food tasty and incredibly well priced. I absolutely loved my stay!
