You just feel like at home. Timur Beg and his wife Shaxlo Hanım makes everything for you to feel comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. They are always close to you if you need something. The place is really close to Registan Square. The room was spacious and comfortable. Totally recommended.

The owners Timur and Shakhlo were amazing and did everything they could for us to have a great time in Samarkand. The Uzbek breakfast was freshly prepared every morning just for us and was exceptional. The room was cleaned every day and the bed was large and comfortable. The location of the guest house is perfect and just a few meters away from Registan square. If we ever come back to Samarkand we would stay at Timur the Great again!

The host and hostess were very caring. Did everything to make our stay memorable. The breakfast was Excellent and sumptuous. Location very convenient to access most of the tourist sites by short walk, Rooms were neat and clean

Mr. Timur and his family's hospitality is unmatched. We felt incredibly taken care of. He picked us up in the early morning and our rooms were ready when we arrived. Breakfast was lovely and homemade. He also sent us to the train station at 6.30am with a warm packed breakfast. A truly memorable stay, our best experience in Uzbekistan.

Timur’s guesthouse is centrally located within walking distance of the main sights and restaurants, offers comfortable beds in nice rooms. But what makes this guesthouse exceptional is the owner, who does everything and beyond from when you arrive and throughout your stay. The delicious breakfast, the advice and information, and on request even authentic day trips all show that Mr. Timur and his wife take pride in making you feel welcome in his house and his city. Only to be recommended to everyone going to Samarqand who wants an authentic and friendly experience.

A friend recommended this place and it was totally worth it. As soon as we arrived, Timur and his wife warmly welcomed us and we instantly felt at home. The room was cozy and the breakfast was really good and made with love. I wasn't feeling very good the first day and they took care of me right away. The place is a few minutes away from the Registan by walking, and in a strategic position to reach all the other city attractions. At the beginning of the street there is a corner in which you can grab a taxi and the bus stop is also very close. Overall, we really appreciated staying there and we hope to come back one day!

We enjoyed our stay here - the location is incredible and we were able to walk to most of the main attractions. Timur and his wife are incredibly kind and generous people who make you feel right at home - they let us use their machine to do some washing during our stay and prepared a huge breakfast every morning (and remembered our tea/coffee preferences every day). The outdoor area is also a really nice place to chill out.

Uzbekistan is a country that you can look at from several aspects, and two are the most important - historically and through the people who live there. You can see and experience Uzbekistan by staying in luxury hotels and visiting famous historical places. Or you can experience Uzbekistan through the people. I was lucky enough to experience it both ways, and this is my story about the MAN and the owner of this small hotel, Mr. Timur. And let me clarify right away, at the very beginning - if you want to get to know Uzbekistan through the people, the way they live and what they really are, this is the place for you. Don't expect a high-tech room, but you will get everything you need - a comfortable bed, clean towels, simple wardrobe, proper air conditioning and a functional bathroom. But at the same time, you will get the hospitality of Mr. Timur and his wife, which is rarely seen today. You will meet hard-working and honest people, with a big heart, who will really go out of their way to meet your needs, even when no one expects or asks them to. You are not guests of this small family hotel, you are friends. In the true sense of the words, you become a part of the house, a temporary member of the family, and then you will discover Samarkand and all its secrets through a completely new prism, which, unfortunately, is denied to all those who come to take pictures of beautiful historical sights. Only when you meet the wholehearted people, will you be able to UNDERSTAND fascinating madrasas, mosques and mausoleums. Because only the beauty of human souls can build magnificent objects. Thanks to Mr. Timur and his family for opening my eyes again after many years, showing me what is actually worth experiencing first and what comes after.

Timur and his wife are fantastic hosts, they serve enourmous breakfasts. The house itself is just a short walk from Ragestan and all historical sites are at walking distance, it is in the middle of the town.
