Hotel Overview

Located on the banks of the Salzach River, in the centre of Salzburg, the Hotel Stein has a history dating back to medieval times and was fully renovated and reopened in the spring of 2018. The lifestyle and design hotel offers guests a panoramic rooftop terrace with views over the rooftops and the surroundings.
Rooms at the Hotel Stein show a mixture of modern and classical style, with Austrian and Venetian influences. The luxurious rooms all have air conditioning, a unique furnishing and handcrafted glass decorations or lamps. The bathrooms are equipped with natural beauty products made from herbal ingredients in pharmacy quality.
The restaurant Steinterrasse is located on the 7th floor and offers a view of the old town of Salzburg. Guests can enjoy a breakfast, brunch or fine dining on the rooftop terrace, and enjoy exquisite drinks and dishes.
Hotel Stein's own spa area can be used against a surcharge and features a relaxation area, sauna and gym. Guides are provided in the rooms with running, hiking and Nordic walking routes.
Only 70 metres from the property, the well known Linzergasse starts, where a variety of shops can be found. Cultural landmarks like Mozart's Birthplace, Salzburg Cathedral, the Mirabell Garden and Hohensalzburg Fortress are all within short walking distance to Hotel Stein.

Lovely hotel so close to all the sights. Delicious breakfast from the rooftop overlooking the city. Quiet rooms, clean and comfortable beds. Helpful staff

The staff at all levels were friendly and helpful. I was told that the room had been upgraded, and it was very comfortable with a good view over the city skyline across the river. The terrace on the 7th floor was fab. Expansive views, great service, food quality - nothing could be faulted.
