Fabulous location for visiting the Dordogne and Perigold. Our hosts were charming and the gite was perfect and cleaned to a very high standard. It had everything we required.

We have recently spent two relaxing weeks at the charming Le Clos de la Musardise located in the heart of a medival village of Salignac. We stayed in a two story historic building that has been fully restored and equiped with all required for a comfortable holiday. It is located on the grounds of the main house but the gite had all nessassary elements of separation and privacy. We had a private patio with a dining table and a sitting area, direct acces to the pool, and separate private entrance to the property from the sitting room. The Ground Floor was open plan. It consisted of a large welcoming sitting room, spacious fully equiped kitchen dinning room, downstairs toilet and storage room. Upstairs there was a large tastfully decorated master bedroom with superking comfortable bed and another twin bedroom. All rooms had wadrobes and bedside tables. As well as a shower cubical and a sink the bathroom had a full size bath. Even the gite is located within 5 min walk to the centre of the village the location is very quite and perfect for a relaxing break. Local boulangère and other shops are 5-10 min walk away. Parking is available both on the grounds and outside, within a short walk to the private entrance. We have travelled around to visit many of the local historic sites in the area. Gouffre de Padirac, Rocamadour, Collonges-la-Rouge, Perigaux etc. are within a 50 min to 1 hour drive on quiet country lanes. Charming Sarlat, Montignac and La Roque-Gageac are in 20-35 min away. One of the reasons we have chosen this property was a heated pool. Even though we were very lucky with the weather at the end of September it was very nice to have a pleasant swim first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon. The kindness of our hosts Lauren and Sylvie left us with a very good memories of our time in Dordogne. They made all the efforts to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
