The house was easy accessible: the key is in a locker nearby the garden gate. The owners (Isabelle + parents) came over to welcome us. They are easy reachable trough text message or call and are very helpful and friendly. They are French but Isabelle speaks fluently English too :-) They live 5min away in the area. The house was cosy and nicely renovated by the owners. We noticed that they were very proud :-) The house has 1 seperate bedroom for 3 persons (1 bunk bed with double under and 1 up). In the living room there are 2 extra sofa beds. There is good wifi and a tv. The house has a garden with roses, grass (ideal for kids playing) and a terrace. There is sun in the garden starting from morning until early sunset. There is a small bbq free to use. The house is located in a quiet safe street with family homes. The neighbours are very friendly :-) Parking is free using a 'parking disc' during 2x 4 hours at daytimes starting at 9h in the morning. We had parking place everyday in front of the door. There are bakeries, small restaurants and a big supermarket (Auchan) within walking distance. The cosy historic centre of Tours is 5min drive by car. If you take a bike with you you will drive +/- 15 to 20min to the centre. The location of the house was ideal to visit the most important castles and wineries all within 15 à 45min drive. Chateau Chambord (the biggest chateau) is +/- 1h15 drive. The house is ideally located within a few minutes drive to the no-toll-routes (départementale) and highways (route national with toll).
