Le Lanternon is a hidden jewel, curated to perfection by its wonderful and warm owner, Jerome. The building itself is very beautiful, with parquet floors high ceilings and many original features. Jerome has taken much care and effort to restore it, while also providing every comfort you may require. Breakfast each morning was delicious, served on beautiful hand made pottery. Coffee, tea and water on tap and an honour bar. The rooms are spacious, peaceful and cool. It’s best to think of it as a lovely private home to which you are invited to stay, rather than an unoriginal five star luxury hotel. To come with that expectation is to miss the point entirely. We have now stayed there for two years running and intend to make a regular annual pilgrimage. It could not be in a better location, right in the heart of St Martin, a charming port village with great restaurants and shops.

We loved the artsy, bohemian vibe; the gorgeous dog, Phenix, the charming owner Jerome and his delightful colleague, Lucille. The location was fantastic just a shade away from the busy-ness of the harbour but also a stone's throw of the amenities.
