The host - Patricia is simply amazing. Many thanks for this wonderful opportunity to stay in such a unique and beautiful place full of history and culture. The recommendation of the restaurant was also excellent. Many thanks
Carl “Great place to stay, would fully recommend it to everyone [unless you like ultra modern]”

Everything! Patricia is an excellent host with an amazing house dating from c 1750 with plenty of rooms. Each room full of antique furniture and intriguing 'collectables'. Great breakfast to set us up for the day. Secure & undercover parking for our scooters. Hoping to visit again with our wives next time.
“We’ll be back.”

Incredibly unique with a very welcoming and helpful owner, who went out of her way to help and make us feel comfortable.

A charming place and lovely host We stayed here on the last night of touring holiday of France. My family and I loved the place- so much character and history and so much originality. As a history teacher I was delighted to be immersed in a genuinely historical building. My two youngest (8 and 11) loved the garden and the house. Patricia the owner is very pleasant and welcoming and despite the language barrier, communication was no problem as Patricia is very enthusiastic and helpful. She certainly added to our experience here and was very accommodating in regards to having the breakfast ready for us at 7.30 so we make an early dart to the ferry (only 12minutes away). She was also very forgiving of our inadequate French language skills.. The breakfast was beautifully prepared and laid out by Patricia and I couldn’t fault it. This is not a chain hotel, but something quite unique and special. If you want bland, then this place would not be your cup of tea. The ornaments and objet d’art really add to the experience and I felt like I’d been transported back in time and was in a Jane Austen novel. Looking out from the bedroom, you could imagine the French troops of the garrison parading below in the their 1700’s uniforms. You can even see the old barrack buildings from the front of the house. Love it! All five of us slept perfectly and we all agreed it was the best sleep of the whole holiday. Comfortable beds, airy rooms and lovely quiet surrounding. The place was spotless too. Very clean. We wished we had had more time here. Sadly we arrived late (7.30pm) and left early at 8.30am. Would have liked to learn more about the house and explored St Malo more.. Very original, authentic and exciting! A warm and welcoming host. We would recommend and happily stay here again! Many thanks Patricia 🙏
