The hotel was clean, at a good location overlooking the waters and with very friendly staff. It seems recently renovated with some parts inaccessible due to ongoing renovations. There was also a pool which could not be used due to this. There were limited items on offer for breakfast, but it is enough to keep you going. We left Dakar at 7am on Thursday morning for our bus ride over and arrived at the hotel around 1pm. After settling in we were starving and asked the lady at reception if we could have something to eat but she told us we would have to wait till around 7pm when the restaurant opened for dinner, which would be a huge problem for us. Thankfully another lady came to reception later and we asked her the same question. Thankfully we did because she was much more solution-oriented. I wish I had asked for her name or that they wore name badges but she certaintly helped us out, bless her. The meal we had from the kitchen (thieboudienne) was delicious and well spiced albeit quite small. They also accommodated our request for an extra bed in the room and to check out later, which was kind of them.
