If you're looking for a simple, clean, and affordable place to stay in the beautiful Ardèche region of France, I highly recommend Le Relais St Germain. It's nothing fancy, but it's comfortable, spotless, very affordable, and perfectly located to enjoy the stunning natural surroundings. What truly makes this place special is the owner—a sunny, welcoming woman who runs the hotel and the restaurant below with her family. She's kind, attentive, and always happy to share helpful tips about the region. Perfect for travelers who value kindness, simplicity, and a genuine local experience over luxury.

Great place to stay and an excellent room. Restaurant very good. It is a truck stop with rooms but they are very good.

Really nice and helpful staff. Arrived with 1h delay due to traffic jams, after the normal closing of the restaurant. When warning them on the phone, they proposed to keep us to pizza to take in our room. When we finally arrived, the restaurant was indeed closing, with the last customers chatting on the terrasse, and the cook gone, but our 2 pizzas were waiting fine, and they offered to eat them at the bar while cleaning the glasses.
