Walked into thinking the room would be horrendous but the first impressions of the bar, and the look we got from the locals. But was totally surprised by the room…it was clean decent size comfy bed and fresh and cosy! could’ve done with some free soap! but stayed here 2 nights on the trot which was planned! Our room was right above the band which was a little annoying with the band so loud! But it was all in all nice. Would return in future!

Nice quiet comfortable place. Village is quiet the pub is good and a nice cafe just down the road. Easy to get to St Austel and Newquay by bus.

The history is just incredible, 500 year old bedroom and antique clock and fireplace in the room too! Being an Australian it was such a fun warm and welcoming experience in the pub downstairs!!!
