Dryburgh Steading 3 is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived on a chilly, grey afternoon, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that exceeded all expectations. The lights were on, fresh flowers adorned the kitchen, and a stunningly generous welcome basket awaited us, complete with wine, sherry, and even wood for the log fire. Every detail was meticulously thought out, from ample coffee supplies to high-quality bathroom amenities. The home itself is magnificent—beautifully appointed, cozy, and well-equipped with everything one could possibly need. The peaceful surroundings offered a soothing retreat, and despite being in a courtyard with three other homes, we enjoyed sufficient privacy and tranquility. The proximity (walking distance) to Dryburgh Abbey, one of the most serene and beautiful abbey ruins, added to the charm of this location. Even the practicalities were a delight. We bought some groceries at a nearby Morrisons, but honestly, we could have arrived empty-handed; the welcome basket had us well-covered with essentials like bread, eggs, bacon, butter, olive oil, pasta, and more. Whether you're looking to explore the picturesque villages nearby, take peaceful walks, or simply relax and unwind at home, Dryburgh Steading 3 is the perfect base. This place offers not just a stay, but an experience—a true home away from home.
