Staff are really nice, and very helpful. They work hard & often Long hours but stay cheerful. The bars are a real delight! Old fashioned with polished wood and comfy with cosy lighting. Quiet, serving good food at a reasonable price. Breakfast is good. Fruit, yoghurt and cooked options. There is parking but limited availability and a very tight carpark! Can have dog. Very old historic building: low ceilings in places with very wonky floors and doors. Interesting! Drafty, but heaters provided if cold. Also, fans in rooms.Easy walk to town. Cathedral just over road, so great position. The residents lounge really must be seen!

Staff went above and beyond for us. We used the White Hart as our base for our wedding and would really recommend.

The property has a lot of charm and character. The staff were friendly and really helpful. It is pet friendly and the staff even went out of their way to prepare a meal for our dog. The room was really clean and the beds comfortable.
