We were met by our host soon after settling in with a pleasant welcome and advice on the local facilities and places of interest. Saint Aignan was a nice little town with all the facilities and well placed for visiting the east of the region and the excellent zoo on the outskirts of the town. The Gatehouse was easy to find with the directions provided and is situated on a private road alongside the Chateau and the park and you have full access to the grounds which are peaceful and a haven for wildlife.

Ideal location for visiting the Loire Valley, plenty of amenities a short walk away. Being in an enclosed park land is ideal for children. Warm welcome on arrival and owners a quick phone call away if needed. Having a private gate or both pedestrian and vehicles is a great advantage.

Beautiful secluded setting just next to the chateau, but only a short walk to all the facilities of the very pretty small town. The lodge was full of character and very well equipped. The hosts were really helpful, communicating before and during during our stay, calling round to make sure we had everything we needed with recommendations for restaurants and local wines
