What a pleasure it was to stay here! On arrival I was welcomed by Tomoko-san and immediately felt at home. Despite the language barrier it was easy to communicate, and Tomoko-san showed me around the facilities, and to my room. There was another guest staying on the same night, an older gentleman on a tour of the shrines and temples of Tokushima. We had a long conversation that evening, and he was kind enough to share some of his dinner with me, so I can confirm the food is excellent too (as was the traditional breakfast the next morning). The economy twin room I stayed in was very comfortable and cosy. The location is good too - I didn't have time to explore the immediate area, but I stayed here for easy access to the bicycle rental places for cycling the Shimanami Kaido, and it was less than half an hour's drive to the start of the route.

Whilst not 5* deluxe It offers a genuine Japanese experience. The owner is fantastic and cannot be more helpful, she also provides delicious home cooked dinner. Highly recommended.
