Gem “Little Gem of a place”

First I’ll speak about the owner Zahlul…what a great helpful guy. Went out of his way to help me so much. I arrived early after a long night of travelling and he let me check in early. Nothing was too much trouble for him. And he’s a great cook. He makes the best shakes and banana pancakes. I ran out of cash and he happily whisked me off to the nearest ATM so I could get to the airport the next day. They also arrange transfer to the ferry pier and can arrange a tuk tuk driver for you to take you about if you don’t want a scooter. The The rooms were clean and had tiled floors. Air con was great. Comfortable large bed. Balcony facing the sea right on the beach and very quiet at night. The location is situated on long beach which is perfect for swimming and Snorkling. It’s just north of Iboih beach but away from the noise and tourists. Wish i had longer to stay here. You can rent a scooter from the place and they also arrange tours at reasonable prices. The bathroom has western style toilets and a shower. No hot water but it wasn’t needed as the cold water was so warm anyway.
