I do read reviews, but understand that people have different expectations. I normally look for 4 star UK or EU standard, which I was expecting here, but the whole experience exceeded my expectations. I will try and be brief. Communications in advance of the stay was easy and helped me understand everything I needed to know. Identified parking space, which was more than ample, and key safe for the door key upon arrival. Upon entry, everything was spotlessly clean and immaculate. I felt a lot of the fixtures were either new, or very well kept. The bathrooms were well appointed and immaculately clean. The rooms, were superbly spacious. The main living area, kitchen and dining, was amazing for a family to be together and very comfortable. I was not expecting, such an amazing balcony, with excellent access and views through massive glazed doors. There were 4 sun loungers and a tremendous outside dining area that had a great table and chairs. Pizza oven was there too, but we did not use it. Everything worked and nothing was missing. The beds were very comfortable all round and the German style of bed covers (two single duvets on a king size bed worked well). The location was brilliant. Superb access to the bike uplifts and the town centre, but far enough out to be quiet and gave a feeling of being out in the country. Superb open views as there is not a house directly opposite. I spent weeks researching, then worrying what it would be like as this was our first experience of Austria, but my goodness I had nothing to worry about. They are Joker card members, which gave unlimited access on foot to all chairlifts in the region and if you had a bike, you got two shots on a chair lift for free. I think Saalbach Hinteglemm are preparing for the World Ski Championships 2025, which might explain the following, but both villages have clearly had significant investment. I love this whole area and between biking and walking, we fulfilled dreams here.
