We’d read a few mixed online reviews that almost stopped us staying here. We’re happy we stayed. It’s not cheap, not in August anyway, but it is good value for money. Our room with ensuite bathroom was a good size with views to the rear of the property and a couple of comfortable chairs and a table. The bed was comfortable with good quality bedding and the bathroom was pretty spacious with a good size shower. The breakfast that was included in the price was very good and surprisingly even included a hot option. There are extensive grounds to explore outside and public rooms inside. Plenty of parking in the large carpark and it’s easy to park right outside the front door to unload luggage. A good stay.

Good facilities, excellent breakfast and a very elegant building. Decent swimming pool. To me, it felt closer to four-star than three.
